As part of Europe’s goal to decarbonize mobility through zero-emission vehicles, SASA AG began its hydrogen mobility program in 2021 by constructing a hydrogen refueling station for its bus fleet at the depot on Bruno Buozzi Street 8d in Bolzano. The existing station supports refueling of SASA’s 12 hydrogen buses, each equipped with 350-bar tanks holding approximately 30 kg of hydrogen. Due to the planned expansion of SASA’s hydrogen fleet, the station is being upgraded to increase capacity and flexibility.
After expansion, the hydrogen filling station will include:
• Two 350-bar fuel pumps and one double fuel pump 350/700 bar
• 2 trailer boxes with the corresponding supply panels
• Compressor and cooling units
• H2 storage units for 500 bar and 950 bar
• Electrical and control system
• Fire water supply
AUTOSTRADA DEL BRENNERO AG plans to build four hydrogen filling stations along the Brenner motorway as part of the PNRR M2C2 3.3 “Testing hydrogen for road transport” program, supporting environmental protection and the energy transition.
The Sadobre project involves the construction of a hydrogen refueling station at the Sadobre truck stop in the municipality of Freienfeld near Sterzing. The facility will be powered by gaseous hydrogen and will feature fuel pumps operating at 350 bar for heavy-duty vehicles and 700 bar for light vehicles.
The H2 facility includes:
• Trailer boxes with the corresponding supply panels
• H2 storage units for medium and high pressure
• Compressor units,
• Distribution measurement, and control units
• Cooling units
• Fuel pumps for refueling heavy and light vehicles with corresponding payment terminals
• Electrical system
• Fire water supply.
