Environmental geology

Waste disposal sites, abandoned locations from earlier industrial or commercial activities, and competing uses of land and water all too often leave behind traces that are unacceptable to the public. Nasty surprises often result from the increasing scarcity of space and land on the one hand, and the accompanying tendency to site new commercial or residential developments on locations that have already been built on or otherwise utilised.

Early recognition and appraisal of such abandoned locations, specialist remediation or planning that is optimally adapted to the local conditions affecting new projects will prevent unpleasant discoveries from being made later and in the long run save time, money and inconvenience.

We have been active for some 10 years now in the geological and hydrogeological treatment and remediation of abandoned locations, the extension and new building of waste disposal sites, and the geotechnical monitoring of landfill sites.
