Energy must be transported safely and with a minimum of loss from the place of production to areas of high demand and distributed to consumers according to need.

The necessary infrastructures must on the one hand be technically reliable, efficient and economical, while the realisation of such infrastructures on the other hand inevitably represents an impact on the landscape. Therefore, during the planning we must take an overall view and include the environment and landscape as an integral part of the planning process.
